Director of operations

The Flint River Soil and Water Conservation District’s Director of Operations will support the Executive Director and will be responsible for the management of administrative and programmatic aspects of the organization as well as personnel management. Additionally, the Director of Operations will support the District’s urban agriculture non-profit organization, Flint River Fresh.

Outreach coordinator

The Flint River Soil and Water Conservation District’s Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for managing internal and external communications regarding ongoing District programs, enhancing public relations both within and outside of the District, expanding efforts to share the District’s impact including through workshops and events, and developing content for the website, social media, and related communication campaigns. The Outreach Coordinator will represent the District throughout the agriculture and conservation community. The Outreach Coordinator may also provide support to the District’s urban agriculture non-profit organization, Flint River Fresh.

conservation technician (farm bill support)

The Flint River Soil and Water Conservation District’s Conservation Technician will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to farmers and landowners in the implementation of USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Farm Bill conservation programs. The Conservation Technician will work closely with NRCS personnel in field offices throughout the District and in neighboring areas as directed.

The Flint River Soil and Water Conservation District’s Conservation Technician will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to farmers and landowners in the implementation of District projects and programs. The Conservation Technician will work closely with farmers and landowners within the District’s counties and surrounding areas providing one-on-one support and service.

District Program Assistant (GACD)

There are two District Program Assistant positions available through the Georgia Association of Conservation Districts (GACD) that support our District, GACD, and NRCS.
