Natrual Resources

Conservation Workshop

Held every June at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College at Tifton, Georgia, this event is open to Georgia’s Rising 10th-, 11th-, and 12th-graders. The workshop focuses on the value, protection, and conservation of Georgia’s wildlife, forestry, soil, and water resources, including conservation in Georgia’s mining industry. Students get a taste of college life while gaining valuable insights into careers from their counselors and instructors. Activities include field trips, classroom instruction, and recreational activities; all focused on the natural world and its resources.

Scholarships are available to students who meet certain criteria. For more information, visit the college website or reach out to our Education Programmer, Abby Bodiford.

During NRCW, students gain a new perspective on conservation, stewardship, and sustainable agriculture with both classroom and outdoor experiential learning. The workshop opens the door for many students to consider a college major for a career in agriculture and natural resources.
