Complete the Georgia Feral Swine Educational Course and save your Certificate of Completion.
Join the waitlist or contact the Feral Swine Coordinator once the educational course is complete. The Feral Swine Coordinator will contact you with trap availability timeline, and work with you to ensure feral swine populations on your property are ready for trapping efforts. This may include photos of feral swine activity, pre-baiting trap sites, ceasing hunting activities, etc.
Coordinate trap delivery with Feral Swine Coordinator. The deposit, first month rental fee, signed contract, and intake survey must all be collected at the time of delivery.
Check traps regularly, update the Feral Swine Coordinator with removal efforts and numbers, and continue best practices for whole sounder removal.
Upon conclusion of trapping efforts, coordinate pick up with Feral Swine Coordinator, pay final rental fee, and complete the exit survey.
The Flint River Soil and Water Conservation District Currently leases Pig Brig Traps to eligible landowners, farmers, and land managers for whole sounder removal of feral swine to ensure enhancement of natural resources and protection of the local agricultural economy.
Traps are available for a maximum of three months from the date of delivery for $80 per month, with a $200 refundable deposit.
In order to be eligible, potential participants must 1) complete the Georgia Feral Swine Educational Course, 2) farm, reside, or manages land within the Flint River Soil and Water Conservation District, and 3) follow best practice for whole sounder removal.

The Feral Swine Coordinator will work with participants to ensure eligibility, coordinate delivery, check-in for support throughout the lease period, and gathering program data. The Lessee is responsible for trap set up, feral swine removal and carcass disposal, associated costs with removal and disposal, and following Georgia statues related to feral swine.
The Flint River Soil and Water Conservation District Trap Lease Program is a Georgia Feral Hog Task Force Certified Lease Program.

The Flint River Soil and Water Conservation District owns a limited number of traps. To ensure the most efficient use of traps, we only lease them to individuals committed to whole sounder removal through trapping efforts, with clear evidence of pigs on bait at the time of delivery.
