The Flint River Soil and Water Conservation District Announces Three Recipients of Agricultural and Environmental Education Grant

Flint River Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisors selected three recipients of the Agricultural and Environmental Education Grant at the monthly District meeting. Asha Cannon with the Dougherty County 4-H program in Albany, Tracy Champagne at Bainbridge High School and Holly Peek at Byne Christian School in Albany were each awarded $1,000 in funding for specialized and hands-on programming at their schools focused on agricultural and environmental topics.

Meet the Team: Emma McBryant

The Flint River Soil and Water Conservation District is pleased to welcome Emma McBryant in the role of Feral Swine Coordinator. Emma is currently completing her Associate’s Degree in Land Forest and Wildlife Management with a minor in Welding at Southern Regional Technical College. She also works as a volunteer with Pitts Fire Rescue and enjoys spending time on her family farm. We’re excited to have Emma lead our Feral Swine Programming, including outreach, educational events, and coordinating the new Trap Lease Program hosted by the Flint River Soil and Water Conservation District.
