Annual Poster Content Theme: May the Forest Be With You Always
The Flint River Soil and Water Conservation District is pleased to reopen the 2024 Stewardship Poster Contest theme: “May the Forest Be With You Always.”
The Flint River SWCD is offering an annual poster contest for kindergarten through 5th-grade students from counties located in the District. Counties include Baker, Calhoun, Decatur, Dougherty, Early, Grady, Miller, Mitchell, and Seminole.
Posters must incorporate the “May the Forest Be With You Always” theme.
This year, a digital photograph of the front of the poster and entry form will be accepted. Please email the photos to abby@flintriverswcd.org by May 3, 2024.
Poster Contest Guidelines
Prizes
Each winner will receive a cash prize.
1st place $100 cash prize
2nd place $75 cash prize
3rd place $50 cash prize
Rules
All K- 5th graders attending school within the Flint River SWCD’s nine counties are eligible to participate in the poster contest. Only one entry per student will be accepted.
Poster must include poster entry form (see right or download)
Contest judges are comprised of the Flint River SWCD Board of Supervisors
Poster dimensions should be 22” x 28”
Any media (paint, crayon, colored pencil, charcoal, etc.) can be used to create a two-dimensional paper poster. No photographs will be accepted as part of the poster.
This year a digital photograph of the front of the poster, and submission form must be submitted to abby@flintriverswcd.org no later than May 3, 2024.
The 2024 Stewardship theme, "May the Forest Be With You Always," must be included on the front side of each poster.
Posters will be evaluated on the following criteria:
Conservation message - 50%,
Visual effectiveness - 30%,
Originality - 10%,
and Universal appeal - 10%.
