FLINT DISTRICT PARTNERS WITH SEMINOLE COUNTY FFA & YOUNG FARMERS TO PROVIDE NO-TILL EQUIPMENT FOR LOCAL FARMERS

Donalsonville, Georgia — The Flint River Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) has recently partnered with the Seminole County FFA Chapter and Young Farmer group to provide an affordable no-till grain drill for rent to local farmers. The purpose of this rental program is to encourage and assist farmers in the implementation of a no-till crop production system and the planting of cover crops. The FFA and Young Farmers will maintain the drill and provide service and technical assistance to participating farmers.

Interested producers will be able to rent the drill for $15/acre. Wes Pace, Seminole County Young Farmer Advisor, is the point of contact for scheduling and availability. The equipment does not have an operator. Renters must pick up and deliver the equipment from Donalsonville, Georgia. The drill comes with a 3 hitch with trailer.
