The Flint River Soil and Water Conservation District is thrilled to announce our upcoming FREE Soil Health Summit. This event is geared towards ranchers, orchard producers, specialty and row crop farmers, industry professionals, government agencies, NGOs and conservationists interested in delving deep into all things soil health. Join us at the UGA Tifton Conference Center from 9-4 on August 27th for in-depth presentations and panels, visit our vendor area, and bring a soil sample from your field for our Soil Health Challenge taking place during the event!
Then, join us August 28th from 9-11 for a field visit for even more soil-focused research, practices, and technology. The field event will highlight USDA-ARS research and on-farm soil health practices at Pond-O-Gold Farms in Omega, co-owned by 2022 GACD Conservationist of the Year Brian Ponder.
This event is FREE, but registration is required.
