Annual Poster Contest Theme: Home is Where the Habitat is.

 
 

The Flint River Soil & Water Conservation District is pleased to announce the 2025 Stewardship Week theme: “Home is Where the Habitat is.” Stewardship Week will be celebrated April 27 - May 4, 2025.

Posters must incorporate the “Home is Where the Habitat is” theme.

This year, a digital photograph of the front of the poster and entry form will be accepted. Please email the photos to abby@flintriverswcd.org by May 2, 2025


 

Poster Contest Guidelines

Prizes

Each winner will receive a cash prize.

  • 1st place $100 cash prize

  • 2nd place $75 cash prize

  • 3rd place $50 cash prize

Rules

  • All Kindergarten through 5th graders attending school within the districts nine (9) counties shall be eligible to participate in the poster contest.

  • Contest judges will be selected by the Flint River Soil & Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors.

  • Poster dimension should be 22” x 28”.

  • Any media (paint, crayon, colored pencil, charcoal, etc.) can be used to create a two-dimensional paper poster. No photographs will be accepted as part of the poster.

  • A digital photograph of the front of the poster, and submission form must be submitted to abby@flintriverswcd.org no later than Friday, May 2, 2025.

  • The 2025 Stewardship theme title, "Home is Where the Habitat is", must be included on the front side of each poster.

  • One entry per student.

  • Posters will be evaluated on the following criteria: Conservation message - 50%, Visual effectiveness - 30%, Originality - 10%, and Universal appeal - 10%.
